Is this green fuzzy OK?

I have this green fuzzy ball that is on my Zoa frag. Just don’t know what it is or if it is something to be concerned about.

It's an algae. If you can get a clearer pic we can Id if it's a bad one.

Looks like regular hair algae should come off easily enough with a toothbrush

It isn’t easily removed. I’ll try to get a better picture shortly. I’ve tried to scrape it off and it doesn’t come off.

Kill that aptasia.
Prob a turf alge.
I can't quite see detial, but look for a feather or fern structure. That you don't want.

Personally I'd put it in a dish and whack both with a despsible razor.

I just did kill the aptasia. It was very small so didn’t notice until I saw the closeup pic. I have to kill about 1-2 aptasias every 3-4 weeks. Using Red Sea aptasia X. Seems to kill them.

I derive a twisted sense of joy and accomplishment by surgicaly removing them from new frags and smiling as I pour them into the toilet.
