Is this growth on my acan normal?

Hello all!
This acan is a couple of weeks old. Has been pretty happy, after a few days in the tank has been opening every day, feeling for food, and accepting small shrimp. Parameters are all good, alkalinity is a little high. Regular reef energy and reef roids added to tank.
In the last few days it has had this brownish bubble or membrane coming out from between the hard coral and the soft flesh, as seen in the picture. Anyone know what this could be? I haven’t noticed it until now. Thanks!

Can't tell from the pix but is that a galaxea right next to it? Galaxea will not play nice.

Hey thanks for the reply. It’s actually just a gsp frag. Nothing is glued down yet so I’ll probably move that to where it can grow too once things get comfortable.
I will try to get a picture with more white light to post up of the acan issue.

Its likely a ton of baby polyps/heads happens when you feed them. Just regular growth. Watch it for a few day and continue feeding might be surprised. If you decide to stop feeding do it slowly less and less the get a little hangry.

I was tempted to suggest new growth also, been feeding mine every 3 days w bits of reef frenzy ..the 2 heads fluff right up. Anxiously waiting for sprouts to form !!
