Is this hairy mushroom dying?

This mushroom looked great and then over the last 2 weeks, it appears to have divided fully about 2 days ago. However, when I look at it up close, this is what I see. Is it still healing or is it dying? It hasn't fully opened since it started splitting.

It should recover if you have good water quality. It’s typical to see that after they split.
