Hi guys, so I bought a hammer coral about 3 weeks ago and the first week it was healthy in my tank, it has been about 2 weeks now that the hammer won’t fully open so I started moving it around maybe it didn’t like the spot, and today I saw what looked like some kind of clear jelly on it? I posted a picture with this thread hoping you guys will know, thanks...

I forgot to say that in that picture I had just added some polyp booster 10 minutes before ...

I bought it 3 weeks ago, if you refer to the coral as the new guy lol if you meant to write is it a new tank? Yes to that as well the tank is about 2 months and 2 weeks old

Hi, was just asking about the hammer. They will release slime when stressed. New tank, move, big changes in water flow or light

It doesn't look too bad to me. My hammers happen do best when placed near moderate light and flow. Post your latest parameters...

0 ammonia
0 nitrites
5. Nitrates
Ph levels 8.2
Calcium 420
Salinity 33
I have a candy cane coral a ricordea mushroom and a gsp that are doing great

Based on the pictures IMHO - there is no way to tell. It doesn't look 'right' - but I dont see brown jelly - do. you??? if so - take a picture of it
