Is this HLLE?

This tang is in quarantine right now it is a new fish that just came in. And is in the quarantine process. It has other fish with it and they are all healthy. No sign of disease or stress. This guy was shipped to me and honestly looked bad from the beginning. It has slowly looked worse over the last week. I read @Humblefish thread. I read there is no real treatment or known cause. I just want to confirm that this is what it is and once quarantine is over is there any concern to introduce the new fish to the tank?

HLLE doesnt usually effect the whole body like that. It could be an infection of some type. Let me see if I can pull some of the experts in

That looks like a bacterial infection to me.

HLLE impacts the face and the lateral line not the entire body of the fish.

Best of luck to you! I had a Tomini that looked like that and I ran him through a RRR dip, a full 2 courses of Kanaplex and Furan-2 and finally 8 days of NFG before he passed. I still have no idea what it was, but I was entirely unable to do a thing about it.

I'll be following to find out what works...

Thanks currently they have been treated with prazi, cupermine, and FW dip I’ll pull out the antibiotics next but I don’t think it it long for this world.

Unfortunately he did not make it I got home and he was dead. Really strange though I’ve never seen this before. But like I said he came in looking really rough and everyone else is fine so a bacterial infection makes sense. I took pictures of it Postmortem so I can get some close-ups. My biggest concern is that it is nothing that I will pass on to the rest of my system after QT. @HotRocks does this look like something contagious? Thanks again by the way for the help.
