Got a lionfish about 2 weeks ago and although i stared at him alot in those days i dont remember if these were on it when i bought him or her. Now im terrified of losing my favorite fish ive ever owned. Ive never had my fish die from disease as far as far as i know so i never learned to treat them. I currently dont have a quarantine tank but i do have a small 5 gallon im curing live rock in that is going to be converted to one after the live rock is done curing. Let me know what you think! Thank you!

Unless you magnified these images that looks a little too big for ick, except for the first picture can you get better close up pictures
I can try but lionfish are lazy so who knows when i will be able to get a good picture. Non of those pictures are magnified tho. They are just really upclose pictures.

If it's eating feed him till he's full, everyday, and it will have a better chance of fighting it off. Also prestine water conditions will help a lot too.

I try not feeding him everyday because they are only supposed to eat every other day or every 3 days but he is eating forsure

Not sure where you heard that but I've never heard a lion or any fish I've ever had should only be fed every other day or every three days. A well fed fish is always gonna be a healthier fish, hence they will have a better chance of fighting off parasites and healing faster. I feed my fish everyday and they get quite a bit.
I've been fishing my whole life and when a lake goes through a phase of not having enough food for the population the fish are really skinny, put up less of a fight and some of them have soars/open wounds probably from parasites and infections from a deficiency of food and lower immune systems.

Ive heard it from a few different sources. To be honest the lionfish will eat ghost shrimp all day if i fed him all day if he knows there is ghost shrimp he doesnt stop till they are all gone. With them being 30 cents a piece hes more expensive to feed the a dog lol

I'm not sure it's just ick. In fact, with the cloudy eyes I'm starting to think it's velvet. I would read about what you need on hand for velvet and keep in mind that you will have hours to act and not days. The freshwater dip is a must. As is the acriflavin bath. I had velvet in January and saved most of my fish so it can be done. If the spots get worse you must act quickly. Good luck.

Lionfish will have a better chance with CP. I've noticed some LFS are willing to 'share' CP and asking never hurts. CP also treats ick. CP is Chloroquine phosphate.

To be used in a quarantine tank or display? I would need to set up my quarantine like tmrw with scrap parts
