Fish are eating well and they are no twitching or flashing or hitting against a rock, etc. So I’m not sure if it’s ich or something else.

If you look at his tail it looks like something else but I’m not sure?

Nah, it’s not velvet. It’s been a week or more since I’ve seen it come and go, they’d all be dead by now. I’ve had velvet before from a an infected clown and that killed everything in 24-36 hours.

Definitely velvet. Velvet doesn't always kill instantly.

It would be rare to see a fish covered that heavily in ich. The fish would likely be dead from ich long before it had that kind of coverage.

It is Ich and you will ASAP need to have a QT tank set up and treated with copper according to bottle directions and start with a Freshwater dip at same tank temp and transfer the fish to the QT providing oxygen and hiding.

I don’t think it’s ich, doesn’t look like it. You all may be right that it’s velvet but man, it’s been almost a month since the hermit intro...strange. But anything is possible.

Treating with Cupramine daily until I get to .4-.5 - don’t want to do it too abruptly so hopefully they’ll make it through.

I had velvet that took 2 months to kill everything. All my fish had a decent resistance then a band new fish gave it a solid foothold

Looks like velvet. I’d do copper. Cloudy eyes looks like it’s velvet coupled with a bacterial infection so copper and Furan-2 would be a good idea
