I see a white splotch on the skin (not ich), and also a white dot at the top of the tail fin. The latter could be ich, but more likely Lymphocystis: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/lymphocystis.257461/

Are you seeing any other dots on him?

Depending on how long it was there it could have been sand or ick. If he was never QT'd then it's probably safe to assume ick is in there anyway.
