I don't think that's ich. Blennies often look splotchy like that.

He was almost white when the lights came on and I freaked out a little. But he has colored up well now.

My bicolor looks exactly like that, at night he likes to change color a little, turns more white, I'm guessing for camouflage. My starry does the same thing.
