After moving a blue chromis from QT into the display, I noticed a couple spots once the lights came on that weren't visible in QT. Have I introduced ich into my display?

The fish was immediately caught and put back into QT once the spots were noticed.

The pics are a bit blurry on this end.

The bad news is that if it is Ich, the white spots are from the parasite dropping off (into your tank) to begin the cycle again.

But it could be lympho. Are the spots raised a bit and cottony/fibrous/cauliflower in texture? Was the chromis treated with copper or other meds?

It looks like it could actually be Lympho.

Check out this thread.

What was your QT process?

The spots don't really appear raised, but they're hard to see at all now that the fish is back in QT and not under the display tank lighting. I have some observation lighting on order for the QT, and I'll try to take some better pics when I'm able.

The QT was intended to last for 4wks min, but I cut it short at 2wks - I had way too many fish in too small of a QT, there were no visible signs of illness, and there were obvious signs of aggression. I decided it was better to stop them from hurting each other than to continue QT. My mistake as I'm learning, I'll be upgrading my QT size immediately.

The fish store that they came from keep their fish in low salinity (1.015) and an unknown strength of copper, so these fish started out for some period of time being in those conditions.

In my QT, they spent 2wks at 1.015 salinity with cupramine at full strength, and a 7 day round of prazipro. I didn't see any visible signs of disease there, but I now realize my lighting was inadequate to actually observe anything.

Should I keep it under observation, or treat it for ich?

You can always add tank dividers to mitigate aggression issues.

Here's more pictures of that fish...the two spots are hard to see. I guess it could also be marks from the aggression?
