My mocha storm clownfish recently has had a couple spots appear on her the past week, starting with a few on her face now a couple on her body. My snowflake clown now has one on him as well. I’ve had both fish for about a year now, the snowflake has been in my tank for about two. Neither fish were treated with anything before coming in to the tank, just observed. The only other fish in the tank is a black cardinal that I’ve had for about a year, he was treated and quarantined before coming in my tank. Only other additions have been inverts, corals, and macroalgae.
The cardinal fish looks perfectly fine, I can’t see on spots on him. The clowns are both acting normal, hosting their anemones. Eating fine.
Sorry for the bad pictures, they never stay still for long

It could be ich. Have you added any invertebrates in the past month or so? It would be unusual for long-term captives to just develop an infection like that, but it can happen. Any change in their overall behavior?

That said, clownfish do develop white spots now and again for other, less serious reasons. If you think you have some time before treating them, watch a few of the more distinct spots - if they stay in the same place for 36+ hours, it isn't likely to be ich. If, however, the spots come and go, changing in number, then it is likely to be a parasite, probably ich.

Yes I added some new inverts. A saron shrimp and a Pom Pom crab. I’ve seen the shrimp a couple times but not for over a week now, but it’s a 90 gal tank so that’s expected. The Pom Pom crab died weirdly, flipped upside down and was twitching for a while until it died.
