Is this ich?

I had a sailfin tang die spontaneously overnight he had marks on the side of him would like a second opinion to identify if its ich or not. It kind of looks like ammonia burn but all other fish are fine

Can’t say for sure. What is your water quality at? What other fish are doing fine? With the glassy eyes, I’d be more inclined to say velvet. Ich would have given you a couple of days advance notice with white spots on the fish. Velvet just shows as rapid breathing, then diffuse skin issues, then death.

I jave another tang in the tank as well as a coris wrasse a shrimp goby and a green chromis its a 70 gal my ammonia was pretty low and phospates and nitrates are fine too!

I would copper treat and quarantine to be safe.

Get the seachem treatment. I used it on my fish and it saved me. It's probably velvet.

Agree- a good copper test should be used to make sure it’s the correct dose and to ensure more copper isn’t needed in case the copper starts absorbing into things in your quarantine tank.
