Its cryptocaryon which is marine ich and fish will need to be treated in quarantine setting. Treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off
A quarantine tank can be as simple as a starter kit from Walmart which most of the needed essentials.

Thank you. They are at work in our coral tank. I was stupid and added two surrendered mollies without QTing them, trusted the customer that they were healthy lol. I’ll have to figure out how to get all 4 fish out of the 125gallon coral tank now.
Wish us luck. Hopefully this is my only stupid move for the next couple months at least.
We have therapeutic copper towers so once I get my new fish order in on Thursday we will figure out a QT system for these ones. If the new fish come in with ich I’ll just combine everyone and do it all at once.

this job is awesome but fish are so stressful.

Can the corals in the tank still be sold or can they spread the ich? The fish will be removed right away. There is a UV sterilizer in the tank with them if that helps anything.

I just asked for photos in the other thread, you don't need to do that, the tang has ich.

You really should not sell corals from this tank until the tank has been fishless for at least 45 days (60 is safer).

Okay thank you. We will shut down the corals. This sucks a lot.
