He always eats like a pig he’s a savage on the Nori. I am using Sea Veggies Seaweed I’m not sure if that’s dried or toasted? It’s eight out of the pack right into the tank. While it could be a sign of parasites, the fish looks pretty healthy otherwise. In some cases, this can be caused by a change in diet, or lack of fiber. Sometimes the cause is idiopathic (meaning ya got me stumped!)
Hepatus tangs tend to be like little kids, they don't always like to eat what's good for them - and high fat, low fiber diets can cause this. That said, I see the nori on the rock, does it eat that well? That looks like toasted nori to me, I'm not a fan, I prefer to use dried nori, or other dried algae that as prepared specifically for fish (and not sushi!).
How long have you had the fish? Any other symptoms? Are there invertebrates in the tank? One option to treat for parasites would be API's General Cure, but I wouldn't use that with inverts.

This is literally the first day I’ve noticed it, and hopefully the last! Lol if it happens again I’ll take a medication route, will metroplex be a good treatment for something like this if we believe it is parasites?Yes - the sea veggies are great, I mistook what you were feeding for regular roasted sushi nori.
I neglected to ask, has this gone on long, or just today? If you do decide to treat, API's General Cure might be an option (although it should be safe for the shrimp, I'm not 100% on that).

Awesome I will pick it up if needed! Thank you for all your help always appreciated!!I like General Cure because it is metronidazole and praziquantel, so it treats two types of internal parasites (doesn’t cover bacterial infections though).
