Is this just a sponge? Or something I should be worried about?

Just looks like a sponge to me. I'd let it grow and see if it changes. Many sponges end up dying off over time.

So after talking to the fish store, they said it looks like coral glue. After looking at a sample on one of their rocks, yeah, that is exactly what it looks like. It's coral glue. The previous owner mist have taken whatever that was with him when he moved.

I think that you cannot edit your posts after they have been posted for one hour unless you are a Reef2Reef supporter or ask one of the moderators.

You can edit them "up to" a certain time. Not "after" a certain time.
But being new, some features I believe don't work at all. I'm just not sure what they are. Like selling items, need so many posts before that feature works.
