Just did a tank move because previous tank cracked and my foot long Leather has begun disintegrating. I removed the stem part that’s falling apart and left the head on the sand bed. Yes I am running carbon.

Bought it small around 3-4 inches and before the tank crack it was about foot. Just bummed out about it. Is there anything else I can do to salvage it?

Bump I have cut off the part that seems to be infected but this reddish slime seems to keep spreading on to fresh flesh

Yea I’d cut off the dead part and cross your fingers. Stephen is right though, it’s kind of hard to kill a softie in my experience

I've read that large toadstools don't do well in moves. I would try an iodine bath or a coral dip if you have some.

I will try that. It's got flow on it but not direct. The brown film keeps spreading help :(
