Is this level enough? or should it be shimmed?

Tank is 310g rimmed with 96 x 30 footprint. The 96 inch length is perfectly level, but it leans to one side a bit on the 30" inch span. Still within level markings but not totally centered. Should I shim the stand or leave it be?

I installed 8 additional feet to level out my tank on my wooden floors.

Are you going to level it after you add rock? water?

It might be structurally sound, but if you are OCD the slightly off-level look of the water might bother you. Probably not nearly as much on the 30" side-view as it would if the water 'sloped' in your tank over the 96" view. Even then, it's off by just a touch. My thoughts, anyway. Best wishes.

I imagine that it will weigh too much to try and level AFTER adding water.

I thought about that, but I think the water line might be hidden anyway, the canopy is constructed in a way that it drops down to cover the top rim, and it might cover the water line also.

I would level that. Even on the short side, that would drive me nuts. I just did my 92gal and it was about the same, and I spent 2 hours on it, but I'm glad I did because it's level, and I could tell the gap at the wall wasn't right between the top and bottom.

Definitely level it now. Even if you have a canopy to hide the waterline, just knowing it’s level you’ll feel better.

not joking have a few people stand in tank after level , make sure does not move,that will be over 2400 lbs of just water /rock!

Tank needs to level - Not level enough. For under two dollars for a pack of shims, you know what to do next. Months later you will be glad you shimmed it when the tank suddenly has moved a tad and youre way out of level . Now is the time to tackle this

Yep, its on carpet, and that's kind of what I was wondering.
