Is this light good for reef tank

Hey guys,


I have a 40 gal breeder tank with a 20 gal sump I currently have a usa orbit led light.. i was looking to upgrade to a better light. Here is the light im looking at... any feedback would be greatly appreciated

That is what is oftentimes called the "Chinese Black Box". Many reefers have been successful with them.
There are other options depending on what specific features you are looking for, but yes,you can use that light for a Reef tank.

Thanks guys im going to return the usa orbit and get the ledgle ill save 20 bucks and ill save up for that sb light.

Would 1 set of lights be ok for a 40g or do i need 2 ?

On a 40 gallon would i need 2 lights or would 1 300 watt led be ok ? I plan on growing soft corals for now.

I just got the sbreef ligh and its great the only thing is the fans are pretty loud is this normal?

It's not louder than let's says PC fan. Once you set it up and your system is running you won't notice it with the other pumps and water agitation going on.
