Hey guys i went to go get a basketball hoop off of craigslist and he gave us a cool little aquarium. Its not a ten gallon but not a twenty the dimensions are 23 1/2 by 12 by 14. Its made from a top brand in china called Resun. Anywho i was wondering if the light and hod it came with was safe for my fish. The bulb is also made by Resun and says D-15W 10,000K is this a good light it produces some heat to but not much i was wondering if its like a t5 or something. Thanks Guys.

Umm I couldn't find exactly what type of light it is but I would think it is a T8.

I think it's a 15 gallon tank.

Yes it would be fine for fish. I wouldn't use it with coral though.

Any light that isn't in the water (unless it is safe to submerge anyways) is safe for fish..... you could light your tank with only flashlights and it would be "safe" and your fish would live as they do not require light to survive ;)

Coral on the other hand, I would be a bit more picky lol

+1. Flashlight, candle light, a window close by. Fish aren't picky.

your tank is 17.090909g the light would easily keep fish but wouldnt recomend corals

I would say shrooms as well. But don't expect much out of them. Maybe some button polyps.
