Was wondering if this limpet was a good guy or bad guy. DBFFC6E2-F25D-4892-A3A5-228E5E4A336D.jpeg

He and maybe a couple other have been in there for a while now since I first noticed them. Looks like they hide during the day and graze at night.
Tough one to answer because there are many kinds and even the many kinds have different "tastes". If it were my tank, I'd leave it be.

They are ok. And not considered as pest, similar to asterina stars
I was hoping so. I haven’t seen them on anything other than rock.

If you haven't spotted it on any corals, than he's pretty safe. The fact it's grazing on the live rock is a good sign it's a friend of your tank.
I’ve only seen him (them) on rocks. Corals don’t seem bothered by them. Every time I see them, they’re on rock. I’ve just read about some that are bad and I just wanted to be sure.

If you look around the limpet in the picture, you can see it has cleaned up some of the rock. You have no worries. Limpets if they like corals, will go to said coral of taste and graze there instead.

Limpets should be monitored. Just in case.

Good eye! I wouldn’t have never noticed the grazed area.
