It has been getting worse over a period of two weeks. Hes seems to be acting and eating normally. What can i do?

Very hard to tell but if it is lympho there is nothing you can do as it is viral. Simply feed him well and offer a stress free environment.

It looks like a wound to me. Can you get a whiter light pic so the experts can see it better? Note: I’m not one of the experts :)

Maybe vids are better

Cottony, fibrous looking in texture growths like that usually are lympho. Best to treat this "condition" with pristine water quality and high quality food + vitamins ( I prefer Beta Glucan) to boost the fish's immune system. Because of the location, you need to watch for the lympho to see if it is keeping the fish from breathing through that side of the gills. If need be, you may have to do a little trimming to keep the water flowing across the gills.

I feed frozen mysis and thera +A pellets, is that good? I have some selcon too if that would help. Does pristine water mean lowest possible nitrates/phosphates or just clear particle free water ? Thanks

You might want to consider a bit wider variety of foods to ensure that the fish is getting all the natural vitamins, fats, minerals it needs to support its immune system. Selcon is good as is Zoecon.
I usually buy 7-8 different frozen foods and take one cube of each into a bowl. Allow the cubes to slump in the fridge. Mix. Then strain or pour off the excess liquid. It can raise your nitrates and phosphates. Add the vitamins to the mix. The mix will remain good in the fridge for a few days.
Pristine water is clean, clear water.
