This white bump showed up on the leading edge of my Exquisite Fairy Wrasses left fin 2 days ago. It seems to be a cyst or growth. Its not cheezy or stringy, and it doesnt look like a typical injury. No other fish have any signs of it. I've had the fish for over 2 years. The only recent additions to the tank have been some snails and emerald crabs about a week ago. Could it be Lymphocystis? And if it is am I correct that there is no treatment? Could it have come in on the new inverts? These are the best pics I could get cause he's so fast

Tough to see, but it doesn’t look like Lymphocystis, and that is very rare to see on a long term captive. Could be a broken fin ray.

I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow. It hasn't gotten any better or worse. He is still swimming strong as ever and chasing everyone around the tank like usual. Does a broken fin ray heal itself?

If it is a broken fin ray, no treatment can be done, but the lump may last for quite some time.

Well now Im starting to worry. The same thing showed up on my pajama cardinal. A single white bump on the leading edge of one pectoral fin. I suppose its possible that they both hurt themselves, but pretty unlikely. He is pretty cryptic but I tried to get some better pics. Maybe these will help identify whats going on?

White spots don't all have the same causes. The wrasse still looks like a broken fin ray, but the spot on the cardinal looks rounder and less diffuse around the edges - so could be ich.
