So I have been battling Dino's (ostreopsis) by raising N:P and I've found I haven't needed to add chaeto because it takes a TON of dosing in my small 32 biocube to raise them by any measurable amount. By the next day, the numbers are back to normal. I woke up this morning And the small patch of what I thought was hair algae has been growing rapidly.

I must say I'm quite happy because this means that potentially, it would be good competition to dinoflagellates.

But...what is it??

You have a better picture? From a glance it doesn’t look like good macro algae to me.

Curious too because I'm starting to see this pop up in random spots on rocks. Not as densely as yours though.

Are the pictures from my tank similar to yours? I personally think it's Green Turf Algae maybe Calothrix.

The left is for sure GHA because it waves in the current but the stuff on the right of it are more stiff and stuck to the rock very stiffly.

Mine is darker, but it's very similar!
