Those of you who have seen my previous posts about the missing parts of my order when buying a new tank will know that I have my tank currently sitting empty in my living room.

I’ve just noticed that there appears to me what looks like mould spores growing on the glass. How could this happen?. It been in my living room sat empty for a few days while I chase up the company that sold me the tank.

what do I need to do? It’s not finger prints and it’s on the inside of the tank.

Has the coral been sitting in it for a few days? Is it live or dead coral if so.
The rock? Yeah it’s been sitting there, it was previously in a tank but it’s been out of the tank for a month or so.

Does your cat jump into the aquarium? Looks like nose prints maybe.

No I don’t have a cat. I can’t get a close up of the marks but it def looks like mould spores.
OK.

Must be humid inside the aquarium if mold is growing.

I think someone mentioned wiping the glass with dilute bleach. Good idea

Yeah no idea how as it’s winter but I’ll do that.

New tanks always need a good cleaning, to help remove all the nasty fils and stuff from shipping, storage and the manufacturing processes, have you cleaned this tank yet?

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your tank. Mold spores can be a pesky surprise, huh? It's strange that they would appear while your tank is just sitting in the living room. Sounds like a mystery! Mold can be dealt with.
