So I purchased 3 Spotted Watchman Gobies and put them in the tank today. I was concerned about them fighting with each other but I though It's a 55 gallon so there should be plenty of space for them. Well I put them in there and after about 5min they found each other, puffed up, did the whole song and dance turning in circles. Now they seem to all be friends? They are all hanging out in one corner of then tank together. By together I mean I went to check on them after the lights went off for the evening and they are literally laying on top of each other in a pile. Couldn't get a good picture of them with the "moonlight" on but I'll include a picture from earlier when the lights were on. Is this normal behavior? There is nothing aggressive in the tank. There is a Banggai Cardinal, juvinile Scopas tang, a cleaner shrimp, and various hermits and snails. I was worried because Live aquria says:
"It will rarely become aggressive towards other fish but is territorial and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair."

With them being babies and stressed from the move, I’m not surprised they’re not being evil yet. I would make a pair and remove the extra one before they reach sexual maturity and things get ugly

Will there not be enough room in a 55gal for them to establish there own territory?

I don’t think so, I mean you can try it and remove one later if necessary. I’m not sure if these change sex but if they don’t I really hope you at least got a boy and a girl, that way you will end up with at least a mated pair. Best of luck to you, I’m sure others with more YWG experience will chime in soon :)

I'll keep an eye on them. I got them to help keep the sandbed clean. They were $6 from Live Aquaria so if they get a little crazy I'll just give one away to someone local. They are pretty neat fish.
