Now this is right after i put it in there.usually its twice as big as that.the only time it was that sucked up was when i first introduced it to the tank.

Looks sulky, did you use different food or have you changed anything like light or flow?

No everything is normal.i just dont know if it acts like a anemone, they do weird things maybe this one does too.

Just looks "tight", hopefully just having a tantrum for some reason, I have 30 or 40 lps, always 1 or 2 sulking. ;)
Lovely coral by the way, I picked up a rescue one yesterday.:)

Thanks. I just thought it was digesting or something.it will be back in sure.

It does look ok. When my wellso shrinks up for more than 3 days I check for low alk. Your color looks better now than when you added it. Looks a little bleached in the 2nd & 3rd pic.

Thanks for the reply.the creatures of the ocean are amazing.they do things that look like they're dying then come right back better than ever.

I think it is not just brain corals. Other corals also do that. I have seen many LPS corals after being fed LPS pellets which are very rich in nutrient, the next day they look like they are about to die; you could say it is like they were eating poison....However, the day after that they became normal. That was just my experience. It happened to my lobo, space invader, blasto, acans....However, this behavior is not consistent; just once in a while.

His tentacles were out this morning and he was puffed up a little bit more than last night.thanks for the input its appreciated.

I feed mine a small 1/4in. piece of raw shrimp once a week, that's it.
