Is this normal for a hammer coral

Is this normal for a hammer coral? I know they close up at night but the "skeleton' seems to be receding more than it used to? Also one branch becoming pale, like loosing it's color? Is it dying?

all other corals are fine and colorful.

To me it still looks like there is tissue there just very thin.. but not a 100%. and yes its normal for them to suck in at night time

How does it look during the daytime?

Tissue is receding and I would relocate to area with moderate water current. Additionally, area seems dark. Increase light a little and attempt small feeding with reef roofs or similar. None of the steps may save the tissue but worth a shot

this is how it looks during the day with lights on, sorry a bit over exposed from the right side, it is not that white in reality.
I am planning to changing my light to better lights, will try to move it's placement and feed it. thanks.

If the condition worsens over the next 3 to 5 days, consider fragging the bad piece off

Mine do this when the lights go out sometimes. Adequate lights, good flow, and good water quality, should be fine

Could be your water parameters are a little off. Could something be nipping at it? Whats that thing in your picture,down 1/2 in from the left side of oval.Looks like it has white antennas.

sorry cannot see it, there is definitely a sponge growing in the right bottom of the coral..

Not antennas but feeders/feelers as most corals gave

They do bunch up when bus/lumens are reduced. May be normal but do feed,etc

I checked params like some suggested with my lfs with proper test kits,

calcium - 430
phosphates - 0.23 ( a tiny on the high side but not a big issue)
magnesium - 1480
alkalinity - 8.06

i got reedroids now and will try to spot feed them, + got a prime hd light coming soon which should make par/lumen issue go away if it there is one.

also did a 15% water change with some of the water being my trusted lfs matured water to replenish some micro elements.
