5 months is not a long time. That's how long it's been set up.I thought you have been having a tank for a while?
I cat tell the difference then. Because I bought them as zoas and they have been low to the rock for a month now. And for some reason the have stretched double in size and I moved them not far from where they were originally and uped the lighting. In the last week they have done this. A couple of them are starting to act this way. Just curious if anyone has had this happen. Those are plays and not zoas I think. My plays that are in the shade stretch out like that and the ones out of the open stay down flat.

No one really knows then. LOL! My tank is too high in nutrients at the moment and lighting and flow are pretty good where they are. You can see the zoas next to them and they are not acting like that. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something serious.Yeah, I have had that happen as well. I don't think anybody knows why some reach, and some don't. I have heard low lighting, no water movement, low nutrients, etc. I think some just like to stretch![]()
No. I had a fish die in side my rock and didn't know until one of my shrimp was eating on a piece of him. So my nutrients shot up. But I did 3 water changes since then and I have a good skimmer. So I think I made it through the mini cycle it threw it in.Weird.. I'm having the same issue.. 2 days ago my plays are doing the same stretching and not opening.. I have zoa's that are open. However I haven't moved anything in my tank all have been in the same location for months.
Have you added any algeafix by chance? I started using some like a week ago, only change I've made.
