Hello all! A friend of mine gifted me a couple of heads of candy canes... and they have sort of a crown in the center of them... I have looking for pictures in the web and I cannot find anything that will look like the ones I have... I am thinking the crowns inside of them might be ball anemones???
What do you think?

Yes, they hungry! Super fun to feed. I feed reef roids and brine shrimp. Though feeding isn't necessary.

Aaaww poor candy canes!! And I was thinking they were pesterized! I miss-judged them! I will feed them right away!!! Thank you so much!!

Yeah, usually this happens when lights go out . Just spot feed it something like mysis or brine and your good to go

Also... I fed them reef roids but they still have their tentacles/polyps out... they needed more??? I pretty much gave them the whole dose...

Mine do that every night, all night. That’s how they feed in the wild, nocturnal feeders. Just don’t over feed them. Mine get the same hikari pellets my clowns get, I feed them along with my Duncan’s twice a week.

No, it's not necessary. Candy cane coral are like bottomless pits. One feeding is good! Tomorrow you can probably see how huge the polyps will get. Spot feeding is best to do.

Well I overfeed them! Stupidly I feed them every other day. Lol, I do just for the satisfaction of watching them eat. I need to stop!

Thank you guys for the input!
