Is this normal or should I be worried?

For about the past 30+ minutes, one of my clownfish was biting at my return "nozzle" and swimming into it. I haven't seen either one of them do this before so I find it odd. It was more of biting and swimming into the stream produced by it. As I am typing this, my other clown has joined this clown, and for about 3 minutes they did that together and have now left the area. What is the deal?

It could be weird clown behavior but it’s also often a symptom of velvet.

Do you see any spots or any discoloration on the clowns? Anything unusual in their appearance?

Could be a sign of Velvet so I’d keep an eye on them. Or, as mentioned above, just a cookie part of clownfish behaviour. Don’t panic. Observe. Make sure they’re getting a good diet. Good luck

Nothing unusual. In comparison to my other clown, he looks fine. And he doesn't do it all the time. He will do it for a few, then swim away, then come back. My other clown, ever since she became accustomed to the environment, likes to have the powerhead on the opposite side push her around and swim in it so I didnt know if maybe he's doing the same thing?

I’ve got a clown in qt that plays in the current. I got her from someone who claims to have had her for a yr w no disease but I don’t trust anyone so she’s in observational qt. For now. I’ve had her for 3 weeks and she’s been surfing the whole time and showing no symptoms of disease. So far, looks like cookey clown behaviour.

That's good to hear. I will continue to observe him. The only thing that worries me is if he does contract a disease, I already have fish in my QT due to them being new. Im scared that if I have to add him to the QT and treat, that it may mess with the new fish in some way...

I’ve been there. A fish got through QT w velvet (was just doing a 1 week observational qt before o found this forum). I already had 3 new fish in qt. And that’s how I ended up w my 3rd tank. Don’t ask how I got a 4th lol

+1 Just keep an eye on it. Don't stress unless there are more visible signs.
