My carpet has been sort of hiding underneath one of my shelves. But hes been open and super happy. Is this cause there could be to much light? I just wnat him out from under there so i can see him!

How long have you had it?
What lights was it under?
What lights do you have currently?
Did you acclimate it to your lights?
What are your current water parameters? (( with numbers please ))
What do you have for flow?

I got him on 3/21 so a little over a month

It was under some pretty bad lights like i think it was 1 VHO i believe. It didnt have any of the color it has now.

Current lights are LED Ocean Revive Arctic-T247

Yes i had him out in the open than added some more flow at this time he went and hid under the rock

Right now my flow is (2) WP10s on pulsing mode. nothing crazy the sands not flying around or anything.

As for parameters ill have to get them. dont have them off the top of my head. I mean i have a bubble tip, and a bunch of chalices in there now and they are all looking great

Like i said this carpet seems fine and happy hes always open but i wish he would just come out from under the shelf i wonder if it has anything to do with the flow? I can take some pics tonight or tomorrow on how i have them setup.

With the info given, I would lean towards the increased flow as being the main issue. S. Haddonis are not fans of lots of flow --- if the oral disc is being lifted up, that is too much flow. I have had them move from just moving a powerhead an inch.

I have found that it will find its own happy place... Not necessarily where you want it to be. Mine was in the open for months and then just up and moved between the rock work.

Here's the now and then shots.

ok maybe ill try moving it. Hes not blowing around but his outsides Do flap up a VERY small amount from time to time. Maybe ill re arrange the pumps and see what happen.

Thanks again everyone for the help!!!!

Thanks! I almost removed it at one point...it made a meal out of many fish. 2 Clarkii Clowns have finally hosted with it and I hand feed (it loves chunks of shrimp or krill!) a couple times a week.

I feed mine with a turkey baster im afraid the carpet will stick to my hand lol

I use wooden skewers...Not my hands... When it sticks it's a pia to get off... Spent 10 minutes prying it off when I accidentally bumped it when cleaning the tank!
