I have a question. A week or so ago I purchased a green bubble tip from Petco as sort of a rescue. And at first when we acclimated and dropped it we put it in the tank and it immediately attached and our clowns went right to it and it was very healthy and happy. Shortly after that we decided to do a sand change from white to black when we did our monthly water change. Now ever since it won’t attach and won’t eat is this anything to be concerned about. Our water quality is good and levels are all within acceptable parameters. The only hiccup we had was our salinity was slightly high which has be rectified and brought down to acceptable levels. We now have it in a containment tank to keep the clowns out of it for it to relax. Is it stress or it there a problem. Below are pictures from when it was first introduced to current.

It's probably just stressed. Those things don't have to eat by the way they're photosynthetic. Plus your clownfish do feed them too

That’s what I’ve read however I’ve also read that you can feed them every couple days and they will grow.

My LTA I have in the same tank gets fed every week and it is nice and happy and the tentacles are nice and puffy. It just won’t attach.

Update

We finally got all the anemones in the tank after segregating them so they can relax a little and both have taken to there spots and are opening up very nicely. The LTA was the hardest to get it to stay and plant foot but it looks like it’s happy where it’s at and the bubble tip has opened up fullly for the first time since we moved it a week and a half ago. The only downfall is we have to take our female clown and put her in segregation since she’s a little ruff with the anemones. But hopefully we can let her lose tonight.
