My 150 gal reef tank has been around for a few months, I soaked my rock for about 6 months prior to that. After a great cycle I am well into adding my fish and have a few soft corals. My question is, since this is my first tank, is it normal to need to clean your glass daily of a green film algae? Sometimes multiple times a day...
Thank you!

I have a 150, about 210g total volume, and I clean every other day.

Some variables I suppose, light positioning and nutrients of course. What are your PO4 and NO3 at?

Yes, it is normal....especially in a newer tank.
HOW LONG before you think it'll calm down? Is there anything else I can do to help it? I have low nitrates, less than 5ppm, I have a brs reactor with gfo and carbon for phosphate control. I have limited my feedings and have the lights on for about 10 hours total for the day following a sunrise and sunset program.

It depends on a lot of different parameters (phosphates, nitrates, lighting, CUC, etc.) as to how long it lasts. The tank is still new so levels need to find their balance. You can try adding a CUC with a bunch of snails. Also want to check nitrates and phosphates and reduce those if possible using water changes and GFO. You could also reduce your lighting intensities and/or duration.
