Woke up this morning to see my Long Tentacle Plate coral all puffed up. I just got it last Saturday and it's the first coral in my new tank. Checked water quality Wednesday and the only quality not within normal parameters was phosphate (which was high). I did a water change of ~10%.

Sorry for the color. Only my blues are on and I photoshopped to make it more obvious what was going on.

Normal. Heliofungia inflate and deflate routinely. The coral actually moves around the tank by inflating and deflating. So alien looking in that image, in a cool way. :)

Photoshop skills are on point! haha
awesome pic! seriously, its stunning.
but yes, totally normal :)

Whew. Glad to hear it's normal. I really like this girl - bought her off another reefer for cheap and she's nice and big without having to wait for her to grow. Love this look.

Just looked in the tank again and saw the coral had moved about 4 inches. I guess I learned something new today and I can go back to bed now.
