Is this normal for yellow tangs, when I purchased him I never noticed that thin long white line it’s symmetrical on both sides of him. Fish is fine and eating like a pig I’m just curious

That long thin line is the tang's lateral line. It's a sensory organ that picks up low-frequency vibrations from the water around her, telling her where the other fish are at all times. The tang looks generally in very good health!
