My tank has been running for about 5-6 months now and I don't see any corraline algae anywhere, but what I do see is all this on the rocks.

Is it normal color ....is something wrong?

Thank you!

Perfectly normal, some tanks can grow coraline like crazy, and others can't. Do you know what your calcium and alk levels are? I noticed with my tank that is about 3 years old that I didn't start getting noticeable coraline growth until I started dosing BRS 2 part about 2 months ago, now i've got spots of it growing all over the place :)

Thanks everyone....I have to test my Ca and Alk levels tomorrow....but i do dose BRS 2 part already and have been dosing for months now.
Glad to hear its kinda normal though.

I do have some cyno too....but I think that is a flow issue....its only on one part of the tank.

Very nice rock setup you've got there. Some of my rock looks exactly like that, I also have almost no coraline algae.

I started with dry rock also. It turned green before it went purple. After a year its fairly purple so it takes time. I got a small piece of purple rock from the LFS to help it start. I also dose BRS 2-part to keep up my ALK and CAL.

I cant take credit for the rock work....my wife actually did it. She has more patience with it than I do.
I just told her how I want it to look and she did it.
