Is this normal

Is this normal for a frog spawn. When I got it about a week ago it was opened up and inflated alot more in the bag. Once I got home with it I drip acclimated for about 3 hours than placed it in the DT.

Where in the tank do you have it? These guys tend to like low light and low flow. Put him in the sandbed for a bit and see if he improves

He's actually at the top of a rock structure about 3/4 down from top of tank. He was lower with low flow and less light and he actually seems to like this spot better but I'm still playing with position to find his ideal spot

How old is the tank and what are your parameters?

Over a year. Nitrate is a lil high at 40ppm. Ammonia, nitrite 0ppm, PH 8.3. Currently don't have a test for alk, cal, or other trace

Is that a new piece of rock then? it's awfully white to be over a year old.

Yes and no, bought as live rock and has algae on bottom but with the way I set up the rocks it wouldn't fit with algae side up

What kind of salt are you using and how often do you do a wc? Alk might be off enough to make it unhappy.
