Is this normal?

Hi all, I just got a shipment with a yellow tang, midas blenny and long finned goby. All is well so far, but the goby which should be on the bottom really, as it is a sand sifter, is happilly swimming near the surface since it got in the tank. Is this normal?

Midas blenny from what I know is not a sand sifter. I always see them swimming all over the place.

From working in a store for several years I have noticed that gobies sometimes tend to do that when super stressed from shipping also from chemical gathering on the reefs. Hope this helps
