I bought a clownfish yesterday and i acclimated it for about 30 minutes and added little scoops of my tank water to the bag. I put the clown in the tank and it swam around my rock a little bit but now all it does is hang out by the filter intake right in the corner. I’ve seen it move around on the back wall but it won’t really move from the filter Intake. I turned it off to see if suction was a problem but it continues to sit in the corner. Any suggestions on what to do?

Some will come in and explain better but yeah that just might be normal...several of my clowns sorta “host” different objects, even tank corners & overflows... I got nothing else

Give him/her couple more days to get over the trauma of tank transfer. Some fish you may not see for couple days after intro, until they get comfortable.

Many clowns will only host one area of the tank that we wish would change! I know my clowns don’t like to move from the back corner unless it’s for food or the very odd scoot around the tank. My skunk clown however he is in and out of all my nems. Just luck of the draw I think but don’t worry about their health they are funny creatures and it’s nothing to worry about

Clowns are weird, there I said it, I have four?! ;)
My older pair are hosted by an acrylic frag stand and my newer two are hosted by the end of the spraybar in the top back left within 6 inches of two rbta s, at least they have a nem each to ignore! ;)
