So I just bought a eclectus mushroom and it immediately detached from the plug. I don’t want it floating all over the tank so I put it in a bucket of water and siphoned water from my tank and have it at 81 degrees but there’s no flow in this bucket. How long can I leave it in here without needing to worry about it dying? Or should I go about this another way?

sometimes the shroom is still attached to a little piece of rock or shell underneath and have had luck glueing that tiny bit to a plug but its a delicate procedure that takes finesse -i have had luck this way faster- also have used the bottom of a two liter with small live rock rubble in a low flow area (where it wont blow out, but still in the light may take weeks

I just had this happen with a kryptonite, placed it in a small container in my tank in low light/low flow and left it for 2 weeks before checking. It attached to an old dead snail shell and I glued that onto a plug.
