Oh wow, do you have a better photo? kinda hard to tell whats going on in this pic. Is there tissue missing?

Hard to tell in the pic but it looks like most of the tissue is gone.

If your system is healthy there's a SLIM chance it could retain what tissue is left and regrow, but that's hoping for the best. Looks like it overheated.. I don't think 1.5hrs late would make a difference honestly. Hopefully you can get a refund from the seller.

definitely could have been hotter than 85 at some point, heat packs are hotter in 1st hour or 2?
In general they are hottest at the start yes. The "good" ones don't get any hotter than about 110F and then just maintain a more even temp longer. But that's why you pack a few layers between the bags and the heat pack. If it was something like glove warmers or something like that, those get much hotter.

Most heat packs stop working when the O2 is out of the small box... then they fire right back up once you open the box.

9 hrs later, it's well done! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Good news is I'm pretty sure I successfully shipped a WD (about the size of avatar pic) Philly to SF CA yesterday.

You sure did buddy, it's so beautiful too.

I'm happy to hear the vendor will replace your Homewreaker, they should have checked the weather forecast before packing the box.
