Hi, folks. Beautiful green grass looking coral here (not gsp) that we were told was pagoda. Long, transparent (4 plus inches) sweeper tentacles that reach up throughout the day. I've seen the coral "grown out" before, and it can essentially look like a lawn. Significantly thicker than gsp, with different center and structure it seems. The pictures I've googled for pagoda don't quite match up with what I'm seeing. Can you help clarify? Thanks in advance!

When our cleaner shrimp goes for a walk on 'em:

Looks like tooth coral to me
Agree looks like a galaxea also called tooth coral. If it is a galaxea. The tentacles you are seeing are the normal. The sweepers can be over 12" long and will be very thin. Any coral within the sweeper tentacle range will be attacked. They send out sweepers usually at night and the water movement carries the tentacles causing a war in anything near its range.

Perfect! Thanks so much. Thanks too for the LA site reference; very helpful!
