pH hit 8.61 tonight. I run a scrubber and dose kalk. Dont see anything wrong with corals but just wondering if I should maybe turn off the skimmer or something or if its ok.

This is a little high as although it drops at night, you want a ceiling of 8.4 opposed to what you have currently
As ALK can control Ph- check your alk numbers

Turning off the skimmer will allow pH to rise further, if those values are accurate and alk is below about 12 dKH.

In general , pH is never too high, no matter what a pH meter reads, in an aerated reef tank not using high pH additives.

I expect pH 8.6 is not accurate, but it is OK if it is.

sounds good and yea I dose about 400ml of kalk a day , run fuge at night, co2 scrubber, have a exhaust fan bringing fresh air in to the room the tank is in. so i definitely do a lot of things to try to raise ph haha.

Probably should have mentioned that when asking about the pH. lol

Definitely high!
He's at 8.3 and recommended range is 8.0-8.4. No way is that high. My tank is at 8.2 -8.3. As Randy Holmes stated, if steady at 8.6- not high in a sense.

yea i dont think 8.3 alk is high at all haha my nano runs at 11dkh.. 8.6 ph seems high to me though idk what caused it to go from the normal 8.5 peak to 8.61 now i might start dosing less kalk and more all for reef.
