Is this plastic bin acceptable for Rodi water storage?

I have my first rodi unit coming this Tuesday, and I'm trying to prepare. I told my father I was going to store the water in a big plastic bin. He went out and bought a bin this morning but I'm unsure of this is of the correct plastic grade or up to standards.

Would somebody please tell me if this would be sufficient and not leach compounds into the water?

Would washing the bin with a vinegar and water solution be sufficient?

is it food grade compatible? if so, the should be ok..I would be concerned that the thickness is not strong enough to hold 20 gals of water..but I over analyzed everything.

I plan on only filling about 5 gallons at most but the food grade part is a mystery to me. I'll have to ask

It should be ok. Just fill it up and let it site a few days and test the phosphate levels.

Those types of containers usually end up bowing pretty severely when you add water to them. Food safe or not I have no idea, but there are numerous better options for water storage.

I have it soaking in a 1:! vinegar:water solution now. It didn't bow when I filled it but I only put 5 gallons in. I plan on using this bin only for mixing salt, and storing my top off water in plastic jugs which formerly were filled with distilled water.

After the bin is done soaking in a few hours, I will clean it out, and refill with distilled. After letting that sit for ~1 hour, I will test for phosphates in the distilled. I think my logic checks out so fingers crossed that the bin does not leach phosphates.
