Is this product good for Nitrates?

I need with good products for ich my nitrates are really high at 80 ppm and ive done a fifty water change and still nothing

If you did a 90% water change with no effect, you need to try a different test kit/method. Even 25% wc should make a substantial difference, unless of course, you're not using purified/distilled water and reputable salt mix.

I meant marine ich, sorry.. but my nitrates are still really high too

A water change as large as 90% could strip your tank of all its bacteria. True its the best way to remove nitrates but with a change that large I would think your tank would have to recycle. I could be wrong but it seems like to me your healthy bacteria would have a very hard time keeping up with such a significant parameter change. Its always best in any situation with reef tanks to start small and try to solve the problem rather than panic and do something significant straight away.

The fish developed ich... the tank is 4months old... I'm using api test kit... I use R/O water and instant ocean salt mix

No im debating whether or not to buy it, the nitrates is at 80 ppm

Medicine will mask the problem so you can't see it but it wont cure ich. You will have to quarantine your fish taking away the ich food source until the ich die off. Otherwise it will keep coming back and each time it will be worse. Eventually it will be fatal for your fish. There are measures you can take to fight it such as lower salinity, freshwater dip, or daily water changes over a period of time, but you can't be 100% sure unless you quarantine your fish. You can deal with your nitrates in different ways but the ich will have to be dealt with the hard way. Lower salinity keeps fish healthy unless you have corals and must run a higher SG.

no the medicine won't bring down your nitrate. You can use Dr. Tim's One and Only bacteria to bring it down. Also a good skimmer will help too. The tank is very young probably just at the end of the initial nitrogen cycle. Give it more time and be patient and nitrate will drop down. The bacteria that reduces nitrate to nitrogen gas are anaerobic and their growth is slow.

API is a decent starter kit, but it's notorious for reagents going bad and showing levels significantly higher than what they really are. I would definitely recommend a different kit, or if you have an LFS nearby, take a sample to them for testing. As for the ich, you need to move your fish into a hospital tank for proper treatment while your DT sits fallow until any remaining parasites die off. BTW, what is the TDS level of your source water? Also, what size is your tank and how many fish do you have?

If you are using just RO water, then I doubt your TDS is zero. Have you actually measured the TDS and do you make your own or buy it?

Sorry i should have said RODI 2 B MORE SPECIFIC.. Yes I make my own water and yes I have tested it with tds meter and it reads zero

The Polyplab product is essentially powdered hydrogen peroxide. A few folks have reported limited success with it, but do you want to evict ich from your tank or give it a headache?
