Is this purple fuzz cyanobacteria?

Is this cyanobacteria growing between my zoanthids? I've not seen this morphology as this almost looks like a furry mat. It seems to be crowding some of my favorite zoanthids and I certainly don't want that if it's competing for space or otherwise harmful. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick replies! I will try to suck it out using a 1/4 airline hose to drain. I'm sure if I keep at it, I can relegate it to be less present. Fortunately, that's the only spot in the tank where I've found it.
 
If it doesn't come up easily like others suggested, could you post an image under white light? It's hard to see the color and other details under blue lights.
 
it might be some sort of sponge.
I've seen a lot o sponges lately in other peoples tanks that look like that.. cyano is usually stringy and long.
I have never experienced long and stringy cyano. I have seen dino's in that manner (stringy)

I’ve seen a giant column of cyano that was attached to rock and went all the way up to the surface of the water haha
