Hello, I know standard PVC is reef safe. I am looking to buy clear pvc for a fragging system. The link above is the product I want. It say non-toxic but also 'bacterial resistant.' I know mold resistant silicone should not be used in aquariums, i was hoping someone could tell me if this pipe falls under a similar category. Thanks!

Yep no problems! Except.... potential algae growth on the inside of the clear pipe/tube. I've experienced this and had to switch out sometimes.

had that happen to me and instead of replacing the tubing I wrapped it in black electrical tape lol

I just wrapped up lines on my coral QT with duct tape last weekend lol

Hmm. Didnt consider algae growth. Im building a frag system, I wanted to use clear pvc so light would still penetrate through to my LPS frags underneath. Maybe its back to the drawing board lol.

The plan was to get 1/4 inch clear pvc and silicone the pipes across the tank with holes drilled in them for frag plugs (mosltly sps), and under the pvc would be egg crate with various lps. I would only run like 3 pipes, with room for about 30 frags, I just wanted clear to maximize any light going town for the lps.
