Gray conduit is not rated for pressure pipe applications and may not be suitable for potable water use. Stabilizers and other ingredients used in conduit PVC may be toxic; conduit PVC is not held to the same drinking water standards as NSF marked pipe and should not be used in potable water systems.

AZRipp beat me to it but I do have one thing to add. If memory serves, grey conduit is measured by outside diameter and regular plumbing PVC is inside diameter. It might not fit well with the standard PVC fittings and adapters. If I were in need of a nice sweeping elbow, I'd make it out of flex PVC.

It's not potable rated. That being said, I used it on a very large setup for years with no issues from it. That was also a long time ago.

I currently have a couple pieces of it being used in my koi pond and nothing bad has happened but that's also freshwater.

Check online, you can get regular pvc in sweeps if that is what you are looking for.

People regularly use conduit fittings in koi ponds (they are a little crazy about reducing head pressure at all costs so those sweep fittings are popular). That said, koi are a lot hardier than corals.
