If it doesn't come off the rocks easily then it's probably Coralline algae. This comes in many different colors, but pink and purple seem to be the most common.

Thank you Reefing madness! What is the best way to get rid of it? I just put some phosban in the sump yesterday, I'm only running lights 4 to 5 hrs a day. I have 2x hydor 600 inside tank, 1700 rio out of sump hydor performance skimmer recirculating!

Have you tried to using a brush or a small power head to remove it from the rocks yet? Like mentioned above, if it doesn't come off the rocks easily it might be Coralline algae, but if it does it's probably Cyanobacteria. The link below might help.
