Is this rock OK?

This is currently in my 72G bowfront cichlid tank, this one is going away for the 120 reef to come in. I got this from a LFS, but don't recall what it is. Is this usable in the new SW tank?

Yeah thats the dense heavy stuff they sometime pass as “Reef Rock” ...well it kinda is/was .... last time that stuff was alive, Trilobites, Jawless fish and sharks with laser beams swam the seas ;Drowning
I got a few pieces of that stuff ...not very porous

I have 40 lbs of good rock coming, and can get more locally, if I need shelf type pieces. and a bucket full that came out of this tank....

Its ok as base rock ..for some weird reason corraline take a while to get a foothold...
